Ajax

  • Míchel will be missing Anton Gaaei, Caio Henrique, Kasper Dolberg, and Steven Berghuis, though his squad has seen some improvement lately.
  • Marc-André ter Stegen is likely to continue in goal ahead of Lucas Rosa, Thilo Kehrer, Dies Janse and Youri Baas. The German goalkeeper was pivotal at Sparta, making four saves as Ajax faced relentless second-half pressure, and will aim for a more composed defensive display at home.
  • Jorthy Mokio and Sofyan Amrabat are set to provide the foundation for Julian Brandt, who tops Ajax's scoring chart with six league goals and provided both assists against Sparta. Oscar Gloukh has created a league-high eight big chances but is not in the likely starting XI, placing more responsibility on Brandt to connect midfield and attack.
  • Davy Klaassen and Abdellah Ouazane are likely to support Tolu Arokodare, with both finding the net at Het Kasteel. Arokodare also hit the woodwork in that win, while Ouazane followed up his late European goal against Atalanta by opening the scoring against Sparta.

  • Lee-Roy Echteld is without the injured Kees Smit, Stije Resink and Jizz Hornkamp, while Ayoub Oufkir is serving a suspension after receiving a yellow card against Twente.
  • Jari De Busser is expected to start behind Elijah Dijkstra, Lewis Schouten, Wesley Hoedt and Mateo Chávez. AZ have conceded 12 goals in ten league matches, giving them one of the division's better defensive records despite failing to shut out Twente last weekend.
  • Dave Kwakman and Peer Koopmeiners are likely to anchor midfield, allowing Valdemar Byskov to operate between the lines. Chávez leads AZ with three assists from left-back and will provide crucial width, especially with Oufkir unavailable.
  • Weslley Patati and Ro-Zangelo Daal are set to support Mexx Meerdink in attack. Daal is AZ’s leading league scorer with five goals, while Meerdink registered four attempts against Twente but was unable to convert as AZ were held scoreless for only the second time in the Eredivisie this season.
