In the event of a points tie the following will apply:
1. Points from matches between teams.
2. Goal difference from matches between teams.
3. Most goals for from matches between teams.
4. Goal difference from all matches.
5. Most goals for from all matches.

After 38 home-and-away matches the league will be split into two Groups formed by the top 8 and the bottom 12 teams. The teams from the Promotion Group will play another home-and-away schedule against every other team of its Group, whilst the teams from the Relegation Group will meet each other once again.
