FA CUP winner qualifies for the AFC Champions League.
In the event of a points tie the following will apply:
1. Goal difference.
2. Most scored goals.
3. Most scored goals on away games.

After 22 games the teams are separated into two groups of six teams and will play 5 more games and the points will be added on the first 22 games.

* Note that table splits in half for last five games of season - no team from top six can drop into bottom six, and no bottom six team can climb into top six, irrespective of points earned.

SANGJU SANGMU FC will be relegated to K LEAGUE 2 next season regardless of its final position of the season.
If SANGJU SANGMU FC finish on last place, the 11th placed team plays Relegatiom Play Off against 2nd placed team from K LEAGUE 2.
If SANGJU SANGMU FC finish on other place not the last, the 12th placed team together with SANGJU SANGMU FC relegate to K LEAGUE 2 without Relegation Play Off.
